CastForge will be held for the first time this year from 5 to 7 June. Through this new event Messe Stuttgart will provide responsible buyers, planners, designers  and developers with a central platform that will enable them to obtain an extensive overview of the market from around 130 international suppliers of  castings and forgings, as well as from specialised processors. During this three-day event in the Oskar Lapp Hall (Hall 6) at the Stuttgart Trade Fair Centre, interested  parties will find a wide range of products extending from a component for fittings, which only weighs a few grams, through to a turbine weighing several tonnes.  CastForge will present the complete value-added chain extending from cast or forging blanks and mechanical processing through to the final component.

“We are staging CastForge as a trade fair where everything revolves solely around castings and forgings and their processing,” said Gunnar Mey, Department  Director at Messe Stuttgart. “Visitors will benefit from CastForge since they will meet here –- directly and extremely efficiently – a large number of companies  from all over the world in one hall (64 per cent of exhibitors from abroad) who have suitable answers to every task. On just one day visitors will obtain as much  in-depth information about materials and the expertise and services of suppliers as they would, for example, through laborious research in the Internet.“

The focal points of the trade fair will be castings which are produced using mechanical and manually moulded sand casting processes, as well as drop  forgings, open-die forgings, rolled rings and warm extruded components. The exhibitors at CastForge will also include companies which specialise in processing,  e.g. lathe turning, milling, grinding, cleaning, coating or galvanising of castings and forgings. The trade fair will also feature service providers who assemble  modules, procure third-party Components and handle all logistics tasks. Visitors will also receive help in selecting the right materials of if they have questions  concerning FEM simulation. Experts from scientific facilities, research institutes, trade associations and networks will also be present at CastForge. Visitors will be  able to jointly discuss with these experts the latest market developments and extend their technical know-how.

Some trade associations from abroad regard CastForge as an ideal opportunity to present for their members in Stuttgart their products and problem-solving  expertise to trade visitors. FUNDIGEX, the Export Association of Spanish Foundries, will be represented for instance. Estibaliz Goitia, International Trade

Advisor at FUNDIGEX, said: “By focusing on castings and forgings, CastForge is naturally an outstanding platform for our Association to develop new business  contacts. In addition to its central orientation towards the industry, the reasons for attending CastForge include its venue in Stuttgart in the economically strong  region of southern Germany and the excellent transport connections of Messe Stuttgart.” Svaz Sléváren, the Czech Foundry Associations, and TÜDÖKSAD, the  Turkish Foundry Association, will be represented at CastForge together with FUNDIGEX.

Your CastForge ticket also gives you free admission to all parallel events. These events are Global Automotive Components and Suppliers Expo, Engine Expo,  Automotive Interiors Expo, Automotive Testing Expo, Surface Technology Germany and LASYS, International Trade fair for Laser Material Processing.
